SUMMER JOB PROGRAM IN THE US FOR VIETNAMESE STUDENTS

Washington DC - Vietnam Resource Group is cooperating with Geovisions (www.geovisions.org) – a US Dept. of State designated agency – to recruit Vietnamese students for a Summer Work Program in the US.

Under this program, Vietnamese students will be screened, selected and assigned to temporary positions at hosting American companies.

American companies will be able to review and interview applicants referred by Geovisions and Vietnam Resource Group prior to offering Vietnamese students with summer job opportunities. They can work between June and August 2012.

The main purposes of this program are to promote cultural understandings and also to provide Vietnamese students with opportunities to improve their English communication skills which will assist them in developing their future career in Vietnam.

Ha Noi – A MOU has been signed between the Investment Cooperation & Development Center (ICD) of VINASME and Vietnam Resource Group to implement a number of programs to assist Vietnamese small and medium sized enterprises on training and trade promotion.

VINASME is a nation-wide association with over 18,000 small and medium sized enterprises. It was organized to provide its member with training programs, business consultation, trade promotion, investment cooperation.

Vietnam Resource Group, a consulting firm based in Newark, DE, USA has been working in Vietnam since 1995 to provide network opportunities, consulting services for Vietnamese and American companies.

In 2012, both parties have decided to implement the following programs: Business Exchange program, short-termed business executive training programs and the Agricultural Internship program.

On July 11, 2011, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, President of Vietnam Association of Community Colleges and Mr. Trung Trinh, Managing Director of Vietnam Resource Group, LLC. Under this MOU, both sides have agreed to cooperate with each other in promoting and developing cooperation between Vietnamese and American Community Colleges. VACC has a network of 42 community colleges throughout Vietnam with more than 200,000 students. VACC and Vietgroup are looking for American Community Colleges to recruit Vietnamese students, to cooperate on curriculum development and also to provide American students with internship program in Vietnam.

In addition, Mr. Mark Fishel, Director of Training Programs of Vietnam Resource Group has also introduced a Career Development Workshop Program, the Agricultural Internship and the Work & Travel Programs in the US to a group of over 150 students of Tra Vinh University.

On July 6, 2011, Mr. Le The Bao, President of VATAP (www.hanghoavathuonghieu.com.vn) has signed a MOU to appoint Vietgroup as its consultant. As a consultant, Vietgroup will provide VATAP with assistance to promote VATAP activities and services in the US. Vietgroup will also introduce VATAP with American companies that are interested in anti-counterfeiting and trade mark protection in Vietnam.

On June 8, 2011, a seminar on Marketing and Distribution in the US was organized by the Export Promotion Center of Ministry of Trade and Industry in Ha Noi. The seminar was to assist Vietnamese companies to learn more of marketing and distributing their products in the US. There were 42 Vietnamese companies executives participated in the seminar. Mr. Fred Golightly, Director of Business Development and Mr. Trung Trinh, Managing Director of Vietnam Resource Group, LLC. were the two main speakers.



Vietnam Resource Group and Geovisions are cooperating to bring volunteered American students, business executives and retired teachers to Vietnam under "The Conversational Partner Program".

The participants of this program will be assigned to work a minimum of 20 hours a week to interact with Vietnamese students in a conversational workshop organized by local universities / colleges. In addition, the participants will have a lot of opportunities to learn of Vietnamese culture, language and history.

On Monday Jan. 03, 2011, Mr. Morgan of GeoVisions and Mr. Trinh of Vietnam Resource Group met with the staff and students of the Saigon Tourism Vocational College to introduce the Work & Travel 2011 Program. Phuc Huynh, a former Work & Travel participant also attended the presentation to share his experiences with the Program.

Mr. Fred Golightly, Director of Business Development of Vietnam Resource Group participated in the National Seminar on Human Resource Development in the Hospitality Industry in Vietnam on August 17, 2010 at Thang Loi Hotel, Ha Noi. The Seminar was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and presided by the Hon. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Deputy Prime Minister.

During the seminar, Mr. Golightly has signed a Business Cooperation with Hoang Long Tourism Training Company in Ha Noi to develop various and short term hospitality training programs in cooperation with the College of Continuing and Professional Education of the California State University in Long Beach, CA.

Vietnam Resource Group and GeoVisions are in the process of recruiting Vietnamese students to participate in the Work & Travel program for 2012.

VIETNAM STUDY TOUR: Under a cooperation with the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges, Vietnam Resource Group is organizing a series of Vietnam Study Tours in 2012 (Vietnam Study Tour Brochure). The Study tour was designed to provide American students with opportunities to learn about Vietnam History, Culture and Education system. Participants will also have a lot of opportunities to interact
with Vietnamese students/teachers. In addition, participants will also explore the diversity of Vietnam's people and landscape.
